Blogs and Forums on GetGo
Blogs and Forums are tools designed to improve communication between members of a network and also that network and entire GetGo community. Blogs and Forums can be found in the Information Connection section of all GetGo networks.
Blogs:
A blog (which is short for "web log") is a kind of ongoing diary where you write a series of articles about a certain topic. Blogs are published by an individual and readers are able to post comments. Your blog on GetGo could be about your company, your industry, or your profession. A blog is a great way to update your network on the recent activity in your business. As members of your network log into GetGo, they will see your latest blogs posts on their My Home page(shown below). All members of GetGo will also see your blog when they log in and are reviewing recent activity.

When you set up a blog, you can set it up to be public or visible only to certain members of your network. Blogging publicly is a proven way for your business to get free exposure to the entire GetGo community. Public blogs also will appear on search engines and may be read by individuals outside of GetGo. Below is an example of a GetGo blog that is the top ranked organic search result on Google. It is also beneficial to set up a blog that is only visible to those you invite into your network. An example of this would be to set up a blog with weekly updates for your investors. Blogs are archived so any new member of your network can be brought up to speed quickly on the progress your company has been making.

To create a blog, click "Manage Your Blogs" in the corner of the blog widget on your network(shown below).

Then click "Setup a Blog"(shown below) on the right side and your on your way.

Forums:
Forums are an online application for holding discussions and posting user generated content. Forum are also referred to as "message boards" or "discussion boards". Forums are an ideal way for all members of your network to interactively discuss a variety of issues related to your business. Unlike blogs, where one person is the publisher and chooses the content, forums allow all users to publish or 'start a thread"(shown belown).

To create a forum in your network, go to the Forum widget of your Network and click "Manage Your Forums"(Shown below)

Click "Setup a Forum" in the GetGo Forum Manager(shown below).

If you'd like to respond or comment on an existing thread in a forum click "Follow Up" (shown below).

Forums are generally meant for discussion between members of a specific network, but there is also a public forum for all GetGo members. To visit this forum, click here
